BIOGRAPHY

Małgorzata Modlińska is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, Faculty of Visual Education. She received her diploma in painting in the studio of Professor Romana Hałat.

Her artistic practice includes oil painting, drawing and linocut. Her work grows out of attentive observation of nature, with a particular focus on detail, rhythm, structure, light and colour. She is interested in the tension between order and chance and in the ways seemingly ordinary fragments of the natural world can reveal unexpected forms and relationships.
